When Steve Davidson re-launched AMZ, he granted me the dream of a lifetime -

To do the first cover of the re-launch. He wanted me to do a riff on the first ever AMZ cover,

from 1926, by the immortal Frank R. Paul. Paul is of course a great hero to me - I also run the official FRP website.

I have some additional commentary on my thought process in drawing this at the Amazing Magazine website itself.

The giant laser tank was modeled by me in Autodesk Inventor Fusion,

my favorite program on the planet.
